Scientific Methods Experiments Related on Scientific Work Skills

Scientific Methods Experiments | Experiments can not be separated from the scientific method, in scientific work, a problem solved by a series of sequential activities. Each step is done diligently, carefully, thoroughly, disciplined resilient, honest, open and inquisitive. In other words scientific methods experiments needs to develop a scientific attitude. Scientific work that is based on scientific attitude will produce a scientific truth. The result may be facts, concepts, principles, procedures, theory, and law.

Therefore in scientific methods experiments you have to learn the skills of scientific work. These skills include the process skills and using instrument skills. Processes skills include proficiency in each phase or step scientific work, for example observation skill, process the data, interpret the data and conduct experiments. Skilfully using tools such can use a voltmeter, dilute the solution, using a microscope and make preparations properly

Scientific Methods Experiments

1.    Observation

A basic skill you must have is the ability of observation. Observations can be done by utilizing all the tools senses, i.e. taste, hear, see, feel and smell. However, the human senses tools have limitations, so the observations often aided by tools such as rulers, scales, microscopes, thermometers, voltmeters, pH meter and so on.

2.    Data processing

Data obtained from observations should be communicated to others. Data in numeric form if presented directly tend to be less attractive and difficult to interpret. Therefore, the data can be presented in various forms including the form of pictures, charts, diagrams, tables, and graphs.

In addition to be clever in presenting the data, you also need to practice classifying data. For example the qualitative data form of the characteristics of the creatures examined the similarities and differences, then classified. Examples of corn and soybean crops can be classified as a group because they both produce flowers. But if the basis of grouping is the number of seed pieces, then corn and soybeans were separated in different groups because corn is a monocot, while soybeans are divots. So the basis of the grouping is the similarities and differences in characteristics.

3.    Interpret data

Scientific work is always related to the interpretation of the observed data. Interpret means connecting facts with the data obtained. For example, when you find a fish whose body slick with scaly and slimy, you found the slippery body was necessary so that the fish can move easily in water. This opinion is an interpretation of the fact that the fish body is slick with scaly and slimy.

4.    Doing experiment

Experiments conducted to answer a variety of questions or problems scientifically. The order of the steps in the scientific methods experiments should not be inverted, but doing it step by step. Before conducting research experiments you should make a plan called the proposal. This proposal contained the reason of why the experiment must be held, the purpose, benefits, tools and materials, how to research and research schedule. The experimental results are already contained conclusions were then compiled into a research report. Prepare a research report with good so that others can understand it. Remember that you have done scientific steps in answer a problem so that the results are obtained scientific knowledge.

This is a bit of an explanation of the scientific methods experiments that can we describe. Hopefully this explanation can add insight for you and beneficial both now and in the future.
